The 1928 20 Złotych stands out for being one of the few gold coins Poland minted entirely from domestically sourced bullion during its interwar economic recovery.

That bullion came from reserves rebuilt after World War I, a practical move in a country still piecing itself together. The coin itself is 90% gold, weighing in at 6.45 grams, and features a simple design: the Polish eagle on the obverse, with the denomination and date on the reverse. It was struck in Paris, as Poland lacked its own mint facilities at the time.
