The obverse features a quadriga, a four-horse chariot in full gallop, symbolizing victory and power. We know these coins were minted from electrum or silver sourced locally, but exact alloy compositions vary by specimen.

Variations in style reflect different engravers, though records of their names have long since vanished. One die might show Arethusa with a subtle smile; another, a more somber expression. As for mintage figures, they're lost to time—no archives survived the ages.
