1990 Baltic States Solidarity 10 Złotych

This 1990 10 Złotych coin was struck in Warsaw to mark the Baltic Way, a 1989 human chain of nearly two million people from Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania demanding independence from the Soviet Union.

That event, just months before the coin's release, symbolized regional solidarity amid collapsing Iron Curtain regimes. The design features a simple outline of the Baltic states on the reverse, with the Polish eagle on the obverse, all on a copper-nickel planchet typical of Polish commemoratives from that era.
