2008 UAE Flag

The 2008 UAE Flag coin features the national flag's colors embedded via enamel on a silver planchet, a technique that was uncommon for Middle Eastern issues at the time.

This made it visually distinct from standard commemoratives. The coin was struck by the Central Bank of the UAE, likely as part of a series marking national symbols.

Exact mintage figures remain unclear; official records from that era aren't always reliable. What we do know is that it circulated briefly before becoming a collectible item.

It's one of those pieces that fools you into thinking it's just a fancy token.

Design-wise, the obverse shows the flag in detail, while the reverse bears the UAE's coat of arms. No major varieties are documented, as far as my notes go.
