The most intriguing fact about the Austrian 1 Ducat restrike dated 1915 is that it's not a wartime coin at all, but a modern bullion piece struck from fine gold by the Austrian Mint starting in the 1970s, using designs from the 18th century.

These restrikes were minted on 3.5-gram planchets of 986 fineness gold, essentially recycling the historical ducat's appeal for investors rather than collectors. The original ducats hailed from the Habsburg era, but this version lacks any real connection to 1915 events, like the empire's collapse.
